Psychological Evalution

EMC’s psychologists will assess your child’s behavioral, emotional, cognitive, intellectual and/or learning capabilities. The results of these evaluations guide the psychologist to develop strategies for improving your child’s school and home-based achievement. The results of these tests are used to make formal diagnosis including these examples of common pediatric disorders (Please note, this is not an all inclusive list.)

*These evaluations ARE required to begin counseling and support services from one of our caring psychologists. However, these psychological evaluations are NOT required to initiate occupational, physical, or speech therapy services.

Ongoing Psychological Sessions

After the psychology evaluation is completed and areas of need are identified, the psychologist develops strategies and interventions to address these needs. The psychology sessions focus on:
