Speech Therapy Evaluation
Our licensed and experienced Speech-Language Pathologists will listen to the concerns about your child’s speech and/or language skills and then evaluate those areas of need. Frequently assessed speech and language skills include:
- Language Comprehension
- Expressive & Receptive Language
- Social skills.
The results of these evaluations will guide the therapist’s recommendations for a Plan Of Care including therapy goals and recommended session length and frequency. These evaluations are required prior to beginning ongoing therapy sessions.
Speech Therapy Sessions
After your child has completed the speech therapy evaluation, our speech therapists will identify the area(s) of skill deficits and make recommendations for ongoing therapy sessions. In these sessions, the therapist will utilize fun, interactive age appropriate activities to develop speech and language skills. The therapist will also educate the child’s caregivers on ways to develop those skills through at-home activities and play.
